WHAT IS THE #1 COMPONENT TO EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP?
Leaders Act! It’s your job to move the organization to a different, better place. As a leader, you must take action to make that happen, because there is no one else who will. “Everyone is looking to you, as the leader, to take action and give direction, but you can’t do everything yourself. Don’t even try! Hire great people who are smarter than you, then equip and empower them to do great and wonderful things. That means that when things go wrong, you get in, get information, give direction and get out! Let your people do their jobs.
“Most people can achieve far more than they think possible. In business–and in life–set your goals high and you’ll be surprised what can be accomplished. Nevertheless, in the end, you can’t make people do anything they don’t want to do. If there isn’t a will, there isn’t a way. You can usually teach someone who isn’t able, but they have to be willing to try first.”
