Will I pay more for booking a speaker through a speakers bureau? This is a great question with an easy answer, nope! You do not pay any additional fees for working with Conversion-omics. You enjoy complimentary consulting, impartial recommendations, professional support with event management, and many other bonus services at no additional cost to you. Conversion-omics’ goal is to provide the very best solutions in an efficient manner in return, helping you save valuable time and money. 

Planning Process

I’ve never booked a speaker before. Where do I begin? Conversion-omics specializes in walking our clients through the steps of selecting the perfect talent! First, we work closely with you to identify your specific needs and objectives. Working together, we will help you find not only the right speaker on any given subject but also the best speaker for your audience.

Do you provide any resources for event professionals? Yes, we have numerous event planning resources. You can find them by visiting the Resources – Event Planning tab on our website or browsing our extensive database of professional speakers. When is the best time to book a speaker? The earlier, the better! It’s recommended to book a keynote speaker about 6–12 months in advance. This gives you plenty of time to find the best speaker for your event while also allowing enough time for preparation and promotion. Booking early increases your chances of securing the speaker you want, potentially saving money in travel costs for the speaker, and allows you more time to promote your event. Highly sought-after speakers usually need to be booked further in advance.

What if I need a speaker right away? We can help with that too! A benefit of working with a speakers bureau is our relationship with and access to many different speakers. If you have an event coming up quickly, contact us, and we will work with you to find the best available speaker for your event.

What if my speaker has to cancel because of an emergency? Another huge advantage of working with Conversion-omics is that we can provide a replacement speaker in case of emergency. With access to professional speakers across the globe, we will work hard to handle any unforeseen complications or last-minute cancellations. Less stress for you!

Speaking Fees

How much does it cost to hire a professional speaker? In the world of event management, the saying “You get what you pay for” is very true. The good news is Conversion-omics represents speakers in virtually all fee ranges. Speaker fees can vary from $2,500 to over $200,000 per event. Many of Conversion-omics’ professional speakers are in the range of $7,500-25,000 plus travel. Speaker fees are determined based on a number of factors: length and type of presentation, event location, number of attendees, project goals, etc. Fees can also change without notice, which is why it is a good idea to book your speaker as early as possible.

If you are working within a specific budget, we are happy to make recommendations for speakers whose rates most closely match your goals. Plus, we often provide suggestions on ways to stretch your speaker budget. At Conversion-omics, we can help you find the speaker who checks the box on your budget and still knocks it out of the park on stage.

Do you accept pro-bono requests? Generally, no. All of the Conversion-omics team members are professional speakers and consultants. However, we have had great success helping clients find resources to help cover costs. Let’s work together and see what we can accomplish!

Speaker Agreement & Logistics

What happens after I choose a speaker for my event? Once the speaker accepts the invitation, we issue a contract. A 50% deposit is required, with the balance due, including speaker travel expenses, paid within 10 days of the completed event. Once the agreement is signed and the deposit has been collected, we introduce you to the speaker, who will then work with you to customize their presentation specifically for your event and audience. Every step of the way, we will continue to communicate with you about your speaker’s appearance. 

Do I have to arrange travel for the speaker? Most professional speakers manage their own travel and will provide the information to you. Travel expenses or the agreed-upon travel allowance will be on the final invoice. 

Can we audio or videotape the speaker’s presentation? Each speaker has their own parameters regarding the ability to record video or audio and whether or not it will be subject to any additional fees. This should be discussed in advance so the correct information and any applicable fees can be included in the speaker’s agreement.

Will the speaker attend special VIP events? Most professional speakers will attend a special event at no additional charge. It is important to make your special requests known in advance so they can be put into the speaker’s schedule and included as part of the speaker’s agreement.

Can you help me secure books written by a speaker? Absolutely! Purchasing books can be a fabulous way to extend the experience for your event attendees. We can also guide you to the most cost-efficient source and delivery of the books.
